Dr. Byrd has been instrumental in revolutionizing the treatment of infant ear deformities. Skilled in both surgical and non-surgical ear correction, Dr. Byrd is the co-inventor of the EarWell™Infant Ear Correction System. The device allows physicians to effectively correct more than 90% of ear deformities in infants without surgery.
Dr. Byrd is respected around the world for his expertise in correction of cleft palate. A member of the American Cleft Palate Association, he has lectured on cleft lip and secondary cleft lip in Seoul, Korea, for the Rhinoplasty Association and on “The Unilateral Cleft Lip and Palate, From Infancy to Adult” at the ASPS Plastic Surgery Congress in Australia.
